Crit & Ale is a Kansas City-based entertainment company dedicated to creating memorable experiences through trivia, music bingo, karaoke, murder mysteries, themed parties, game nights, and interactive events. We're a roaming board game bar on a quest to bring people together through pop-up events filled with laughter, strategy, and a little bit of magic. Behind every game night, mystery, and perfectly placed meeple is a team of adventurers working behind the scenes to make the experience unforgettable.

Michael is the mastermind behind Crit and Ale. A lifelong storyteller with a passion for immersive worlds, rolling dice, and bringing people together. With a background in creative direction and community building, Michael blends marketing sorcery with narrative finesse to craft unforgettable events. When he's not conjuring crowdfunding spells or designing game nights that feel like quests, he’s probably somewhere with a stack of character sheets and a cup of something magical.

Charlie is the brains behind the scenes at Crit and Ale, ensuring every piece of the puzzle fits perfectly. With a talent for coordination and a passion for games, he’s the one who keeps our mobile tavern running like clockwork. From scouting venues to managing gear and setup, Charlie turns chaos into cohesion; all while making sure every adventure rolls out smoothly. If it’s working like magic, Charlie probably rigged the enchantment.
Mikah L. Blakemore
Co-Owner | Event Alchemist | Master of Mysteries
Mikah is a seasoned event host whose charisma can light up any tavern (real or imagined). Having cut her teeth running mystery nights and immersive experiences at Reroll Tavern, she now brings her storytelling prowess and organizational magic to Crit and Ale. Whether orchestrating a night of mayhem or curating an evening of games and grog, Mikah ensures every guest feels like the hero of their own tale.
